Stahls' CAD-CUT® Glitter Flake™ Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV) is a specialized material designed to add vibrant, sparkling effects to apparel and accessories. Available in an enormous 57 colours, this HTV is widely used for creating standout designs in fan and spirit wear, cheer uniforms, and fashion garments. This HTV offers a realistic glitter glake texture to the touch and is EU Microplastic ban compliant meaning there are no loose glitter flakes that will fall off the garment it's appled to.

What's the difference between Glimmer HTV and Glitter HTV?

1. Texture & Finish

• Glimmer HTV: Has a smooth surface with ultra-fine glitter particles embedded in the material, giving it a shimmering, gradient effect.
• Glitter HTV: Has a rough, textured surface with larger glitter flakes, creating a bold, sparkly look.

2. Appearance

• Glimmer HTV: Offers a subtle shimmer with a soft, shifting gradient effect as light moves across it.
• Glitter HTV: Provides a more intense sparkle due to larger glitter particles, making it stand out more

3. Thickness

• Glimmer HTV: Thinner at 260 microns, making it more flexible and comfortable to wear.
• Glitter HTV: Thicker, which when using blocky designs can feel heavier on garments.

4. Layering Compatibility

• Glimmer HTV: Not recommended for layering, best used as a single-layer design.
• Glitter HTV: Can be used layerd on top of Stahls' Sportsfilm Extra.

5. Cutting & Weeding

• Glimmer HTV: Would recommend testing a few cutting depths depending on your cutter and blade.
• Glitter HTV: Super easy to cut and weed. Original cut recipe is gospel.

6. Wash Durability

• Both materials are durable up to 50 washes.
